Evaluation, diagnosis, and speech therapy services are provided by Pat Brown, M.S. CCC-SLP for children
ages 3 to 21 years old with the following diagnoses:
Diagnosis
of muscle-based deficits in jaw-lip-tongue functioning are treated using traditional therapy methods in addition to Sara Rosenfeld-Johnson's
muscle-based techniques and exercises to improve speech clarity. Diagnosis of language disorders are treated using traditional
therapy methods and may include American Sign Language, Picture Communication Boards, stories enhanced by Picture Communication
Symbols, and Augmentative Communication Systems to improve receptive communication and encourage verbal expressive communication.
Pat believes it is important that children have the opportunity to communicate. The power of
communication is of course needed for optimal development in social, cognitive and educational domains. Children need
to learn a communication system that works for them.
